"Why Clients Trust All Metal Finishes"
Four Generations in Aluminum
Three Generations in Architectural Finishing
Heritage -
Our Evolution -
Generations of Expertise in Aluminum & Architectural Finishing:
All Metal Finishes is built on generations of experience in the aluminum manufacturing and architectural metal finishing industry. Our team brings together decades of knowledge in aluminum window & door manufacturing, factory metal finishing, field refinishing, and high-performance coating systems used on some of the most demanding architectural projects.
This deep understanding of how architectural metals are manufactured, finished, and maintained allows us to restore and protect building materials with a level of expertise rarely found in the industry. From aluminum windows and curtainwall systems to complex architectural elements, our team understands the science behind the finishes that protect them.
That generational knowledge is the foundation of everything we do.
Expanding Surface Protection for Modern Buildings:
While architectural metal restoration remains the core of our expertise, All Metal Finishes has expanded to provide a broader range of surface protection and preventative maintenance services for today’s buildings.
Our services now include advanced protective coatings for glass, stone, wood, and exterior materials, strippable coatings for construction protection, hydrophobic glass treatments, mold and algae prevention, and high-performance exterior coating systems designed for harsh coastal environments.
This evolution allows us to help building owners not only restore architectural finishes - but protect and extend the life of the entire building envelope.
Four generations of industry knowledge
1940 - Joseph Metzger began manufacturing Windows in his Barn in Ohio
1950 - Joseph sent son Thomas Metzger to Miami to scale and create a market for aluminum windows & doors

1970 - Thomas Metzger begins TM Window & Door, and creates the first patented storm window, helping shape the region’s early approach to protecting buildings from coastal weather.
1995 - Led by Tom Metzger, his son Steve, and the Metzger family, TM Windows & Doors enters the rapidly developing impact glazing market. Through extensive engineering, testing, and manufacturing, TM becomes one of the early regional leaders in hurricane impact window and door systems, competing with major manufacturers such as PGT, CGI, and CWS.
2000 - TM Windows & Doors pioneers in-house finishing among regional window and door manufacturers, introducing a dedicated paint line and widely adopting Kynar 500® PVDF coatings, now considered the gold standard for architectural metal finishes.
2022 - Steve Metzger, his son Sterling Metzger, and Charles Kauffmann establish All Metal Finishes after recognizing a growing need for specialized restoration of architectural metals and glazing systems. Leveraging generations of knowledge in aluminum manufacturing and factory finishing, the company focuses on electrostatic refinishing and field-applied Kynar coatings, becoming one of the early certified applicators of Kynar Aquatec® PVDF restoration systems
2025 – All Metal Finishes launches AMF Preventative Maintenance, a specialized division focused on long-term preservation of architectural materials. Services include preventative maintenance programs for glazing and architectural metals, strippable construction protection coatings for glass systems, anodized aluminum rejuvenation, hydrophobic glass coatings, environmentally responsive mold and algae treatments, and the application of Kynar Aquatec® PVDF coatings for exterior surfaces such as stucco and architectural finishes.
WINDOW, DOOR, AND ARCHITECTUAL METAL RESTORATION
We specialize in the field-finishing, refinishing, and restoration of architectural metals and glazing systems, including windows, doors, railings, gates, storefronts, and façade components. Our work addresses oxidation, coating failure, corrosion, fading, outdated colors, and complex finish requirements such as custom color changes, split finishes, and two-tone architectural details.
Using high-performance coating systems such as field-applied Kynar® fluoropolymers, architectural urethanes, and other industrial-grade finishes, we restore and protect existing substrates without the cost and disruption of full replacement. Depending on the project, our coatings are applied using precision methods such as HVLP spray application or electrostatic painting, supported by detailed masking, surface preparation, corrosion remediation, and professional application techniques to deliver a clean, factory-quality finish in the field.

Services include: Field-Applied Kynar® Coatings, Electrostatic Painting, Architectural Metal Finishing & Refinishing, Coating Failure & Corrosion Remediation, Custom Color Changes & Two-Tone Finishes
Specialty Coating Services & Precision Touch-Ups for Glazing & Architectural Metals
Services include: Factory-Grade Touch-Ups & Punch-Out (AAMA 2604 & 2605), Manufacturer Color Matching, Woodgrain (Sublimation) Repairs, Anodized Finish Rejuvenation, Patina Finishes (Brass, Bronze, Copper), Fluoropolymer Clear-Coat Protection
Touch-ups and punch-out work on architectural metals and glazing systems require far more precision than standard painting. With a background in factory-applied finishes, Kynar® fluoropolymers, and powder coating systems, we specialize in high-level touch-ups for windows, doors, storefronts, and façade components. Our process combines detailed surface evaluation, micro-preparation, exact manufacturer color matching, and controlled application techniques to ensure repairs blend seamlessly - eliminating visible patching or sheen variation while maintaining the integrity of AAMA 2604 and 2605 systems.
We also provide highly specialized solutions rarely offered in the field, including woodgrain (sublimation) touch-ups to repair scratches and abrasion on woodgrain-finished aluminum - delivering an acceptable, near-factory appearance remedy without replacement. Our anodized finish rejuvenation coatings restore shine, depth, and protection to weathered surfaces, while custom patina finishes for brass, bronze, and copper utilize controlled chemical oxidation to replicate natural aging with consistency.
To extend the life of both new and restored architectural metal finishes, we offer a fluoropolymer clear-coat system that enhances UV resistance, corrosion protection, abrasion durability, and long-term color and gloss retention - providing performance similar to a Kynar® PVDF finish in a clear application.
Preventative Maintenance & Asset Protection
Services include: Architectural Metal Maintenance Programs, Scheduled Cleaning & Touch-Ups, Hydrophobic Glass Coatings, Strippable Protective Coatings (Construction Protection)
We provide proactive maintenance and protection solutions designed to preserve and extend the life of architectural metals and glazing systems. Our scheduled preventative maintenance programs include routine cleaning, inspections, and precision touch-ups for windows, doors, railings, and façade components - helping to prevent corrosion, weathering, coating failure, and costly large-scale restoration. By maintaining finishes over time, we keep properties performing and looking as intended while reducing long-term capital expenses.
In addition, we offer advanced protection systems including our Lotus Hydrophobic Glass Coatings, which create a self-cleaning surface that repels water, salt, and mineral buildup - significantly reducing maintenance frequency and preserving glass clarity. For construction-phase protection, our strippable coatings for glazing and architectural metals act as a durable barrier against overspray, abrasion, and jobsite damage, ensuring surfaces remain pristine through project completion and turnover.
